Voices For Children is the fundraising arm of Miami-Dade's Guardian Ad Litem Program. The Program recruits, trains, and supports adults to represent the best interests of abused children who have been removed from the care of their parents and are now in foster care. With over 4,000 children in Miami-Dade's foster care system alone, this is of utmost importance. Additionally, the organization provides direct financial assistance to cover the children's basic needs. They also have a number of workshops throughout the year designed to enrich the lives of the children they serve, allowing them to build their self esteem and preparing them to transition to adulthood healthily and with the necessary tools.

Miami resdients recently had the chance to see the magnificent art, literary pieces, photography, and glass sculptures created by the children as showcased at A Children's Celebration. This exhibit is the culmination of the work these children produced under the guidance of artist-mentors in different sessions that take place throughout the year.

In a time of pain and chaos, Voices For Children is helping children through art, education, and the stable support necessary to become thriving members of our society.
