Gotta Love Those Plastic Grocery Bags

Quick, what are you going to do with all those plastic grocery bags stacking up and reminding you how incredibly irresponsible and evil you are for, once again, forgetting to bring all those cloth bags you have in the trunk of the car you did not drive to the grocery store?

Here is the coolest idea - EVER - to make them stop shaming you. You can turn on them, and put them to shame, for not only are you going to reuse them, you are going to turn them into something WAY COOL, that you can use to get groceries, or anything else, and never need another cheap plastic bag again.

This etsy.com blog shows how to take those plastic bags and, using your iron and some parchment paper, turn them into something new. You fuse layers together and make a sturdy plastic type material that is perfect for making bags, wallets, clutches - probably lots of other things too....

Rather than try to explain to you how to do it, I'm inserting this link to the ReCreate A Plastic Bag project on the EtsyLabs blog. Now, quick, guess what I'm doing tonight!

And while i have your attention, now is the time to support local arts and artists by doing all of your holiday shopping on Etsy.com. This is, BY FAR, the best shopping site on the web, and it is all made by individual artists and crafters, so your purchase not only doesn't support big box retailing but it DOES support art, artists and a more creative world. Seriously. Etsy.com, it's Just Shopping!

In all fairness, this link was sent to a list that i am on (of the coolest, smartest, cleverest people on the planet. Best cult in the world, i loves the kool-aid,) I am not actually cool enough to have found it on my own.
