Oh the fancy costumes

We're all packed and ready to go.  For 2 days, the costumes piled up in our living room as we sorted through what to bring, what to leave (and wound up, of course, bringing way tooooo much.) It was a fabulous orgy or bright fur, sparkly sheer, flowers and all manner of brightly colored stretchy things. Celia looked at all of it, tried a lot of it on, had her own magical dress-ups world.  She smiled and said, "mommy, why don't more grown-ups play dress-ups?"  I don't know why.  I think more do than we know.  She tried on more outfits, "now I'm a bee," "now I'm a bride" "now I'm a fairy...."  And it became crystal clear that this child of ours was learning that now, she can be whatever she wants.  And when she's old like us, she can still be whatever she wants.  Cool!
