Almost every morning I take a beauty walk, just to get outside and breathe in the fresh air and have a chance to look around and see all the beauty. The beauty that surrounds us everywhere without our even being aware of it much of the time.

On these walks I often notice how beautiful my neighbor's gardens are, or how they've painted their houses or arranged their lawn furniture to give pleasure to others. Sometimes I stop and take photos so I can share the beauty I see.

The other day I thought I would print up some little note cards with the words "in gratitude" printed on them. I thought I'd leave them at the houses where I noticed they'd paid some extra attention to beauty, with a little personal note saying what I'd most appreciated. Just a little "thank you" for the gifts these folks have left for those of us walking or driving by their homes.
