ReFA is a devastating disease suffered by millions of people in industrial countries.  It is characterised by eating more than intended with severe consequences.  There may be over 100 disease consequences such as obesity, food obsession, diabetes, depression, fatigue, heart disease, irritability, infections, brain fog, anxiety, shame, joint pain, swelling, learning disorders, ADHD, infertility, obsessive thinking, and racing thoughts.  ReFA mimics the symptoms of mental illness.  It can also mimic the symptoms of aging, causing its victims to miss the diagnosis.

Culturally, ReFA follows the pattern of cigarette addiction.  It is believed to be caused by intense advertising and availability of refined foods such as sugar, all sweeteners, flour of all varieties, salty foods, deep fried foods, and caffeine.  It correlates closely with Body Mass Index, leading to the hypothesis that as many as 65% of Americans suffer from the condition.

Fortunately, there is a cure for ReFA.  It is treated as all other substance-based addictions through withdrawal and abstinence.  Relief from cravings, fatigue, and brain fog can come as quickly as 4 days following abstinence.  Blood glucose and blood pressure can normalize within 10 days.  Other conditions such as depression and low self-esteem can be alleviated within 3 weeks of withdrawal.  Cholesterol levels can normalize within a few months.  Make a list of any health problems you're experiencing, whether or not they're genetic.  You are in for an incredible and fun adventure eliminating refined foods and seeing how many of your problems disappear.

You don't have to wait for a diagnosis.  Deciding whether you would like to try withdrawal is easy.  You can visit www.sugarsandflours.com for help.  You will find lists of foods to eat and food to eliminate.  The point of continuous abstinence is to eliminate the craving which drags its victims back into the addiction.

Have fun with this.  Enjoy the startling benefits.  Don't delude yourself - all the improvements you experience really do come from eliminating refined foods.

As an experiment, I decided to stay out of restaurants as much as possible and do my own cooking.  I wondered what benefits I might get.  I was surprised.  I thought I had a good strategy for portion control in restaurants but I was wrong.  I ask for a take-out box when I placemy order.  I put half of the meal into the takeout box as soon as it comes to the table.  I eat the other half fo
