This concept is a new source of motivation, we trust, for the underlying idea that nonprofit advocacy and service organizations have learned and developed important tools, techniques and attitudes that favor ways to generate stronger, healthier and more worldly careful bottom lines.

We believe that this is true for the benefit of both for-profit and nonprofit businesses. And that, in an equitable world, both sides of this equation will rise together when these kinds of partnerships truly seek to achieve the best for both outcomes--profitability and progressive advancement of humanity.

Currently, most of what is being seen and being shared within the business sector favors the side of the bottom line profit searcher. On the other hand, much of what is available to the average nonprofit business professional is either significantly behind the times (technologically or management speaking) or is often presented as something that is best learned from the business world.

Almost never does the nonprofit business sector gets the credit it deserves for the mindset, tools, techniques and possibilities we have helped generate. Which makes it no surprise that when venture capitalists and others seek to invest in a different future, we are often either left out of the picture of added in mostly as a charitable recipient of a small portion of the proceeds.

Venture Charities seeks to balance this equation. And we look forward to a robust discussion about the possibilities that naturally frow from the emerging capitalism that supposedly cares!
