There’s this great little art glass studio here in Sacramento, owned by Shannon Morgan. An unknown number of artists participate in Girl Glass, work collaboratively on projects, from paperweights to goblets, pumpkins and vessels.

I'm heading to California on Sunday, to Sacramento, to be exact. I'll be there until roughly the first week of June, working for an IT company owned by some friends of mine (what, we've all got to pay the bills, yo.).

There's so much trash in this country. Thrift stores all across America are absolutely bursting at the seams.

How creative, you ask, can you possibly be amidst the hustle and bustle of your crazy life? Take a simple, purposeful step or two (OK, maybe a leap) with a group of friends and you might find that your world feels a lot more real.

We're all packed and ready to go.  For 2 days, the costumes piled up in our living room as we sorted through what to bring, what to leave (and wound up, of course, bringing way tooooo much.) It was a fabulous orgy or bright fur, sparkly sheer, flowers and all manner of brightly colored stretchy things.
