My Bio

Alex Elliot was born in Massachusetts, grew up outside of Chicago, and moved to the New York City area after college. She has returned to Massachusetts since getting married, where she now lives with her husband, two children, two cats, and her dog. She has appeared on FOX TV and spoken at college campuses regarding parenting, social policy, and feminism. She is a contributing writer for New England Mamas. Her own personal blog, Formula Fed and Flexible Parenting shares humorous and informational parenting anecdotes while supporting a woman's ability to make her own choices about parenting including the choice, for whatever reason, to bottle feed her babies formula. Alex has a degree in Women's Studies and Psychology from Wellesley College, and a post-graduate certificate in Premedical Studies from Brandeis University. After graduating from Brandeis, she was accepted to veterinary school, although she deferred and will apply again once the boys are older.
